I think my career lies in being a chef. I can swan around the kitchen like Nigella Lawson tasting things and smiling and mixing ingredients and smiling. Then voila, a delicious dish.
Not quite,
But all jokes aside I was very proud of dinner tonight. I've been trying to cook some kind of awesome meal at least 3 nights a week. and first up was the humble, but amazing, Hoi Sin Prawn and Noodle Bowl...
So it wasn't really Nigella... it was Jamie Oliver.
But it was the most delicious thing ever and it literally only took 15minutes.
I haven't posted the recipe... mostly because the book is downstairs, but also because I would like to encourage you to actually get it. As a time poor, money poor but healthy eating 20year old. It has been a life saver. It even gives you calorie approximations for each dish!
Hope you've all been cooking up a storm, or at least tomatoes on toast.

My Room...
So back to this whole house loving, nesting type thing. I decided I would show you all my bedroom.
I live in a share house, with a housemate who is very different to me. So my bedroom is the one place that reflects who I am. I love white, and simple, and french country. Not that you can see the french country in this room at the moment. It is more seen in my other bedspreads. My room is also a work in progress. It's missing all my art work
The other thing that has a distinct presence in my room is owls. I love them. Owls and Cows... not sure why, I always have. There's a string of these guys hanging down my wall :)
What about you all?
Do you have particular things in your room that you love? or that are homeless but needed?

My Bed is white and beautiful and Molly sized and I love it. But my favourite thing about it is the pink fluffy blanket on the end, I've had it since I was like 15, and I swear it is the BEST thing to snuggle up in during winter with hot chocolate and a book.
I also have candles and water constantly with me. Because every girl needs a candle, and water is incredibly important always! I'm also re-reading harry potter, but there is also another book and about 2 magazines permanently on my bedside table. I like to read.
the top of my expedit is covered in my jewellery tree (credit to my talented mother for finding it) and a whole bunch of little trinkets. All of which I love.
My magazines don't yet have a home, which is bit of an issue. There is a lot of them, this is only about half. Some of them I still re-read, particularly if I like the cover girl, or the article headlines!

Weekend wrap.
Very very busy weekend!
Consisted of
- Brett's birthday
- A very long night drive
- A training session
- A rehearsal
- A cheer sleepover
- Watching the majors (a cheer competition)
- 5 loads of washing
- Lots of cleaning
We made cajun chicken with sweet potato and fresh corn salsa. Dessert was 23mini lemon meringue pies! I did a whole lot of stunting and backhandsprings and today I was so exhausted that all I did was clean and watch tennis and do washing. And now I'm sitting in front of the TV watching Harry Potter. Looking very much like I don't care. It's been a no makeup, loose jumper and leggings kind of day!
Tomorrow I'm going to take you on a tour of my room! But until then, sleep tight!

What I Wore Wednesday (selfie addition)
So I've discovered my problem with taking photos of my outfits is just that... I can't actually take the photos because there is no-one around to click the button.
So this wednesday is the selfie addition. I took the photo of my outfit while it wasn't on my body (I had to run to training as soon as I got home)
Regardless, this is one of my favourite tops, particularly for work. I look like I've put effort in, but actually its just that the shirt is bright. Plus it's young so I don't feel like I'm pretending when I wear it.
- Ray-ban sunglasses
- Dotti Peplum shirt
- Gap cropped skinny pant
- Sportsgirl necklace
- OPI nail polish.
The Starbucks was amazing in case you were wondering. I love tea!

I'm Nesting...
You know, that thing that people do when they're pregnant... Only... I'm not pregnant, I'm just in a homemaker kind of mood. So until further notice you'll probably get a home-y (not to be confused with homie... which I am not) post every Monday.
Right now I'm in love with classic contemporary mixed with french country design. It's very me. I've found so many pieces of furniture and homes and designs that I just love. So I figured I'd share with you some of the pictures I've found in my internet travels
1)I've always loved kitchens that are so big and open. Makes me feel at home
2) Really warm blankets in Millions of shades of grey. I can sit by the fire and read
3) Laura Ashley just makes me smile
4) I love exposed beams, they're so beautiful. Natural wood and white are my two favourite design elements. and the couch looks so plush
5) This house looks so natural and inviting. I love the wrap-around porch!
Anyone else nesting minus the baby?

Reality Check...
I've been a bad blogger...
My family were here from Adelaide this week and it completely threw my ability to function like a normal human being, and to blog. However, the visit was one of the most important reality checks I've had in a while. I have to start doing more things for me, and being more in control of my life. So I have some very specific goals to achieve by the end of march. I also plan on choosing to do some awesome things each week.
This week I will...
- Cook myself dinner 4x
- Buy an Expedit bookcase
- Go to the moonlight cinema
- Visit the Camberwell markets
- Run 2 times
- do 10pop pilates videos!
By April 1st I Will
- Have paid off my Credit Card
- Weight 52kgs
- Be able to Run 5km in 25minutes
- Have abdominal muscles showing through
- Be able to round off flip
- Be happy with myself
- Know 20 new recipes
I'm a list maker, I have been for years. So prepare yourselves for a lot of new posts coming your way, and lots of new food, and exercise, and probably outfits too

Weekday Wishlist
Last week (as you may have noticed) was pretty awesome. So here's to another list.
- Spend time with my family who are visiting from Adelaide
- Take my little sister shopping
- Spend at least 30minutes on the couch with cuddles
- Go Swimming, or at least to the beach
- Take some photos of my heel stretch and scale (body positions for cheer)
- Stretch every day so I can actually have a nice scorpion
- Write down one good thing that happens each day.
So what are yours?

Weekly Wrap.
Holidays are officially over and it is back to reality. Despite this, I'm looking forward to next week and getting back in to a routine. This week will be hard to top though.
I got to wear my green maxi dress, which I have had now for a very long time with very little reason to wear it, so I decided to wear it because I can. It was a nice feeling, getting dressed up(ish) to go to the movies. I achieved everything on my wishlist. Although sadly couldn't get a picture of the wedges because I ate them in Gold Class at the movies. I saw Les Mis and The Hobbit and both were fantastic. I had a great start to the new year, and a great end to 2012. I found multicoloured pasta and ended up with far too much tea (I have an addiction clearly).
Oh, and I got to meet some new (slightly hairy) friends.
Hope you were all as lucky

Fit Friday...
So I'll be honest with you all, I don't actually have a work out on Friday. It is my one rest day. But Fit and Friday start with the same letter and it gives me time to actually post what I've been doing.
To give you an idea of my weekly fitness regime it is essentially the below
- Run 3x a week (4-8kms)
- Cheer Training 2x a week
- Stretch 7x a week
- Strength 3x a week (lifting mostly)
It's one of my favourite things about my life. I get to relax, and no-one can bother you when you are running. Training is physically demanding and pushes me to my absolute limits, so I know what I am capable of, physically and mentally. But mostly I just enjoy the fact that I feel so much better when I'm exercising. Plus I see amazing views like this!
Fit Friday will usually be posts about workouts or fitness or probably fitness clothing. But for now... here is a picture of the very first time I ever was the top person (person in the air) in cheerleading. Beneath me is my boyfriend, Brett, and one of his best friends, Ben.

Dinner is Served
So I wore an amazing outfit yesterday... but I'm having some upload photo issues. So instead I'm going to post the best dinner in the world ever. It's healthy, and delicious, and really really easy. And customisable. I literally eat it at least one a fortnight, usually more often.
Stuffed Capsicums!
You'll need
- 2 Capsicums (to slice sideways)
- 4 slices Pancetta
- 1/2 cup Ricotta
- 4-5 cherry tomatoesTomatoes
- 20gm Basil
- 50gm light Mozarella
- 1 TBSPOlive Oil
Simply
1) Preheat the oven to 200c
2)cut the capsicums in half longways and remove the seeds!
3) Drizzle with olive oil
4) Stuff 2 sides with light ricotta and pancetta
5) Stuff the other 2 sides with tomato, basil and pancetta.
6) Bake for 15minutes at 200c
7) Remove tray and add Mozarella onto tomato stuffed capsicum
8) Bake for another 5 to 10minutes
9) Remove and eat!
The best part is, if you don't like what you've stuffed them with this time, just change it! I've put pesto, feta cheese, ham, chicken, other capsicums, asparagus etc. into these before, and each time I've loved it!
Here's mine from last night... tasted AMAZING!

What I wore wednesday...
Bit of a boring wednesday because it is ridiculously hot here at the moment. So I went for as light as possible. Thank heavens we're in casual clothes at the moment!
White Seafolly Dress
Soles Shoes (From Santini)
Betsey Johnson Necklace
Pandora Rings
OPI nailpolish (I eat Maine-ly lobster & Dulce De Leche)
I also managed to paint my nails in a (semi) eccentric manner. See... they're not all the same colour! I'm just as impressed with myself as I sound. This is big progress in the world of my nails.
Hope you're all having a fabulous week!
Kisses and Hugs and whatnot

New Years
Welcome 2013. I've been looking forward to you. I cannot believe that it's here already. Last year was incredible. Highlight include; Moving out, turning 20, spending 1yr in a relationship, becoming a national champion, getting into running, getting healthy and a whole lot more.
I spent new years eve up in Yarra Glen with friends of Brett's. We talked and laughed and welcomed in the new year in as relaxed a manner as is humanly possible. Then I drove us home and we spent the day walking the dogs.

This is the end of this slightly sentimental post. I'm looking forward to 2013... and What I Wore Wednesday.
Oh, and for those of you wondering. This is how the tart turned out...
Kisses
